How can I keep my nail from totally breaking off?

sariedmb asked:

I have natural nails and my nail has a split in it below the actual nail, in the nail bed. Is there any way that I can save it other than using a bandaid or do I just have to cut it off?

I suggest just cutting it off. And eat/drink more things with calcium, it’ll help your bones and nails.

well i have heard my friednds say that their nails liek grew back together but i dont think so. you could try to just paint over all the nail w/ clear nail polish and leave it so that it grows out and stays together.

Use clear nail glue, like the kind you use to put on fake nails. Put it on very carefully and don’t touch anything for awhile, it’ll help keep the nail in place until it grows out.

cut it off until where it is attached and just let it grow…whatever ripped will just decay anyway and it will fall off…i have had it happen it may take a little while but it will grow back really healthy and new

Use some clear nail polish, or just go directly to the manicure chair!
